BIOGRAPHY

The MOONGLOWS are a six-member vocal harmony group that performs live shows in and around Salisbury, North Carolina, singing jazz and intricate harmonies that will make you smile.   The Moonglows have quickly become Salisbury's premier vocal harmony group and a fixture at many local music performances.

This versatile singing group includes Kent Bernhardt, John Brincefield, Bill Bucher, Carol Harris, Kay Peeler and Ann Dandison. The group first appeared as "the 'Bury Home Singers" at the original "'Bury Home Companion" show, a Salisbury Symphony fundraiser held at the Meroney Theatre on August 26, 2017. Experienced performers drawn together by their appreciation of vocal harmony and live performance, the group has performed at several more 'Bury Home Companion events, the Rowan Blues and Jazz Festival, the Charlotte Motor Speedway Club,  The Blumenthal Performing Arts Theatre in Charlotte. the North Carolina Transportation Museum, the 'Tis The Season annual Christmas Parade in Salisbury and at various fundraisers, church and retirement community events across the Rowan County area and beyond.

The Moonglows incorporate charm and humor into their musical performances, which include a wide variety of great classic tunes familiar to audiences young and old. The group is versatile enough to meet almost any need for live musical entertainment, and is appropriate for just about any event.

The Moonglows perform with recorded tracks or with live musicians, depending on your budget and what is required for the event.  Generally we require more time to prepare for events where we are to be accompanied by live musicians, so you may wish to take that into consideration when planning ahead for bookings.
